A Hidalgo man is suing Lone Star Transportation LLC and Jimmy Maddox, a La Marque truck driver, after he was run over six times by the axles of a tractor-trailer. The plaintiff is represented by Sean P. Tracey, Shawn P. Fox, Scott C. Greenlee, and Lance N. Walters of Houston personal injury law firm Tracey & Fox.
According to the complaint, which was filed on December 28, 2015 in the U.S. District Court for the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas, the man was injured when he was working as a steering truck operator assisting the movement of an oversized tractor-trailer owned and operated by Lone Star Transportation. The lawsuit states that the plaintiff had radioed the driver of the truck to inform him that he was going to fix the taillights on the trailer. Maddox, the driver, was said to have responded negligently, leading to the plaintiff's severe physical injuries.
Tracey & Fox is seeking compensation for past and future physical and financial damages of more than $1 million on behalf of the plaintiff, along with compensation for court costs, and pre and post-judgment and a trial by jury. The case is Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas case number 15-CV-1353.
